I cringe whenever I read a greeting that says, “Merry Xmas.” It’s a reminder that not everyone knows the true meaning of Christmas because they easily put an X to Christ when the true reason for the season is Him.
Christmas is a season wherein we are celebrating the birth of the One who died for us on the cross more than 2,000 years ago so that we may enjoy eternal life in heaven.
It’s not about exchange gifts or Christmas parties. It’s not about how to spend the Christmas bonus we receive. It’s not about the message the majority of the society is bombarding us with—consume, consume, consume! It’s not about what you deserve (because believe me, you don’t want to get what you deserve).
So dear readers, it’s not Xmas. It’s CHRISTmas.
Yes, there is CHRIST in Christmas!
